Gear IconX cord-free earbuds launched by Samsung

Samsung launched the cord-free earbuds – Gear IconX which are designed for sports activities. Claimed to be lightweight and ergonomic, the earbuds are said to lend secure fit while physical activities. It also possesses sweat-resistant properties.

The Samsung Gear IconX features standalone music playback capability along with 4GB in-built storage for listening songs without a smartphone connection. The earbuds could be connected with PC or phone via USB cable. As for the interface, it can be controlled by touch gestures for operating functions such as pause, play and playlist browsing.

The earbuds also support equalizer for altering frequencies by choosing the presets from bass boost, soft, dynamic, clear and treble boost. A user can also choose the amount of ambient sound one prefers to hear while listening to music.

Supporting voice assistance, the Samsung Gear IconX lets the user place call, send message or control music through voice command. Moreover, one also gets notified about incoming calls, messages and notifications through audio message. Samsung claims the battery of the Gear IconX can run for five hours while streaming music and seven hours while standalone music playback. Moreover, it comes with the fast-charging feature.

Fitness enthusiasts can track run or walk distance, time and calories burned when it is paired with tracking devices. It can also be synced with the Pace Setter feature on the Samsung Health platform which allows users to choose from various preset activity programs from ‘Light Walking’ to ‘Speed Endurance.’

The Samsung Gear IconX is available in India in Black colour and is priced at Rs 13,990.
