The results for CBSE Class 12 Board Exams 2018 will be declared soon at 12:30 pm. Class 12 Results were earlier speculated to be out on May 28 but are instead getting declared today (two days before).

CBSE Results 2018 will be published on various platforms apart from the official website of the board (www.cbse.nic.in). Students who appeared for these exams may check any one platform for their results.

The students are desperately waiting for their results now, but before that, we present you few things that you shouldn’t miss related to CBSE Class 12 Board Exams 2018.

CBSE CLASS 12 RESULTS 2018: PASSING MARKS

  • Students need to score at least 33 percent in each subject to pass
  • They must clear the 33 percent marks in theory and practical exams separately in addition to 33 percent marks in aggregate

CBSE CLASS 12 RESULTS 2018: PASSED STUDENTS TO BE PUT IN A RANK ORDER AND GRADES TO BE AWARDED

  • The assessment of theory or practical papers in external subjects will be in numerical scores
  • In addition to numerical scores, the Board will indicate grades in the marks sheets issued to the candidates in case of subjects of external examinations
  • In case of internal assessment subjects, only grades shall be shown

B-1 Next 1/8th of the passed candidates

CBSE CLASS 12 RESULTS 2018: COMPARTMENT EXAMS

  • Students who do not pass in up to two subjects can appear for compartment exams which are conducted in the months of July and August every year
  • If the student clears his or her compartment exams, they are considered ‘Passed’
  • If a Class 12 student who also fail in the compartment exam, he or she must repeat Class 12 and reappear for examination again in the following year

CBSE CLASS 12 RESULTS 2018: IMPROVEMENT EXAMS

  • For improvement exams, the Class 12 student would need to pass in the particular subject during the Board exams conducted in the month of March-April every year
  • He or she can appear for improvement examinations in more than one subject
  • A student under the vocational stream is also eligible to appear as a private candidate
  • A student can appear for an improvement paper only once

CBSE CLASS 12 RESULTS 2018: MERIT CERTIFICATES

  • CBSE will be awarding Merit Certificates in each subject to the top 0.1 percent of candidates passing that subject, considering that they have passed the examination as per the pass criteria of the Board
  • The number of Merit Certificates in a subject will be determined by rounding of the number of candidates passing the subject to the nearest multiple of thousand. If the number of candidates passing a subject is less than 500, no merit certificate will be issued
  • In the matter of a tie, if one student gets a Merit Certificate, all candidates getting that score will get the Merit Certificate

CBSE CLASS 12 RESULTS 2018: STUDENTS REGISTERED

For Class 12, 11,86,306 candidates had registered and the exams were held at 4,138 centres in India and 71 centres outside the country

CBSE CLASS 12 RESULTS 2018: EXAM DATES

  • Class 12 exams 2018 were conducted on March 5 and had one re-examination because of the economics paper leak this year
  • The Economics exam was re-conducted on April 25 this year
